Painting and Sketching

I started drawing when I was about 8 years old when I attempted to draw famous personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Charlie Chaplin and Martin Luther King Jr. My parents and friends seemed to be very impressed with my drawing and so over that year I continued to draw more from portrait books. The same year I participated in my first drawing competition (Drishya 2011 held in Boston MA), and I won the first place. I continued to draw more seriously from that point, specifically portraits of images that I found online. By the time I was 12, I could draw portraits without looking at images and started drawing using color pencils.

Art Classes

When I turned 13, I decided to share my interest and skill by starting art-classes for young students (of ages 4-8 yrs). I continue teaching to this day and if you are interested in knowing more about my classes for your child or young sibling, you can contact me at 860-999-2026.

With the foundation that I built with drawing, I started painting on canvas using water colors initially and now using oil paints. A few of my sketches and paintings are shown below.
