My Guru Aishwarya Chakravarthy (Asishwarya Akka as I call her), is a seasoned Bharathanatyam dancer who started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 4. She began her dance journey at Shivanjali, Chennai until 1995 and subsequently moved to Koothambalam to continue the journey under the tutelage of Guru Sri Aravindan and Smt Vasantha Aravindan. As an alumni of the prestigious Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan school, Bharatanatyam was an integral part of her education and life.

Aishwarya akka regularly performed at the Chennai Music Festival and has worked with various prestigious banners such as Bharat Kalachar, Karthik Fine Arts, Chidambaram Natyanjali, etc. She also performed regularly with leading artists such as Smt. Mutharasi Ravi (Kalaikoil), Smt. Sudha Vijaykumar (Nrithyasudha) and Sri Madurai. R. Muralidharan (dance productions like Kural Oviyam and Nammaalvaar).Aishwarya is a recipient of a dance scholarship from the Govt. Of Tamil Nadu, Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram and the Govt. Of India CCRT.

Aishwarya akka was the teacher in-charge at Koothambalam, Chennai until 2008 before moving to CT, USA where she established Natyakshetram. She is not only an established dance teacher in Connecticut but is also well known among the community as an innovative choreographer and a social philanthropist.She is involved in many fundraising and women empowerment activities in the New England area. Aishwarya akka is also employed full time with a leading technology company as a Senior Manager
